Four Directions Homestay, Mission, BC

Homestay is available to all international students. When you arrive in Vancouver, BC we will meet you at the airport and bring you to Mission City, British Columbia.

You will enjoy living with a Canadian family while you attend English classes.

Four Directions Homestay will make all the necessary arrangements in securing your homestay family. Your homestay family will be experienced in hosting students. You will become part of their family while you stay in Canada. Enjoy family outings and field trips to many beautiful places!

Four Directions Homestay Expectations

Homestay parents will:

• Only speak English when the student is present

• Include student in family activities

• Provide conversation with the student

• Provide a separate room or bed

• Introduce student to Canadian life

• Provide three meals a day

• Provide accessible laundry facilities

• Familiarize students with house rules

Four Directions Homestay Support

We provide a Host Family Orientation, a handbook and 24 hour emergency telephone support. Our staff will help with any questions, problems and issues that arise. Carpool information, telephone chains and lists of other host families in your area are also provided.

Be patient and understanding and utilize the expertise of the teacher guide. Speak slowly and ask questions to ensure understanding
